Big brother is watching me. I think. Because I belong to, or are a member of, facebook, gmail, hotmail, linklin (have not got a clue what it is, but I do receive mails from them), hyves, and many many more 'keeping-in-touch' websites.

The strangest thing is that I do not use them to keep in touch- I read it and forget about it.

However, I am seriously under the impression that those sites are used to control people. I read the other day that the University of Oxford is using facebook as a tool to find people who misbehave at university parties (what a pathetic idea, but ok) and hyves in Holland is used by the police to see what is hot and what is not in the world of dutch teenagers.

My brother's girlfriend is in syria right now to study Arabic, and she has sent an e-mail (via gmail), in which she wrote stuff about the political situation over there. the mail never reached anyone.

What i am trying to do in this blog is finding an excuse not to write as often as I did in Sarajevo- I have become paranoid. So once every while, at unexpected moments, i will put a posting on this blog, to make sure that Big brother, whoever he might be, can not trace down every step I take.......
